Content warning: After the lady with the violin, this becomes a spicy audit. @JohnnyVedmore was about to record Yanis, the busker who plays the bottles and drums on Queen Street in Cardiff, when the three men started threatening me. They told me that if I began recording anything they would break my equipment and “fuck me up”.

Well, that’s not the thing to say to someone who is purposely exercising their rights to record in public without fear of harassment, abuse or violence. I did only turned the camera on them because they began throwing things at me. After they forced me off Queen Street, the one later did the same on Sta Mary’s Street. I was no longer able to commit to legal activity without imminent fear of potential harm to myself.

So this will be going through the system and we’ll be going to court for sure.

I mentioned a Burnistoun sketch with a bottle of ginger. One of the best comedy sketch shows in history

The sax kid is Moses, he’s not a studying musician, he just likes to busk out on the street. He’s a nice guy. I think the violin lady is called Vicky but I will verify that. Jacob Sparkes and Mike are featured again, unfortunately Jacob becomes involved in the unfolding tramp fight.

I had left the original situation only for the guy who “didn’t want to be recorded” to find me later and walk into frame again to start another altercation. When I record the street musicians, I put down a separate wireless mic and so the beginning of that altercation has only music but he’s basically telling me that I should come close so I can listen to him and then he tries to attack me which I think is what he intended to do anyway.

The Orangeade Assassin on the Streets of Cardiff. @johnnyvedmore had a few altercations with some homeless guys on the last audit. This was one of them. Strong language and flying bottles ahead #Wales #Cardiff #QueenStreet #Tramps

I did have to leave both situations because otherwise I was going to have to have a proper fight, which would have probably been quite satisfying after all the bravado but which would have been the wrong thing to allow to happen. In auditing, sometimes you have to lose any attachment to the ego at the time or it escalates. Deep down I really did want to settle it the old fashioned way, but we live in a civilized society and that means letting go of the ego sometimes.
